Leftards are Scared and Playing the Race Card Already
The Obamatrons can’t understand why Obama isn’t eclipsing McCain in the polls. So now they’re playing the race card.
Dr. Dawg with his usual three card monty post here(were I was actually called a racist and bigot by the O’Smart One Himself).
But it’s Slate Editor Jacob Weisbery that really throws down the royal flush. Just like every Leftard he comes up with his a thesis statement:
If you break the numbers down, the reason Obama isn’t ahead right now is that he trails badly among one group, older white voters. He does so for a simple reason: the color of his skin.
and then cherry picks data to prove it.
Much evidence points to racial prejudice as a factor that could be large enough to cost Obama the election. That warning is written all over last month’s CBS/New York Times poll, which is worth examining in detail if you want a quick grasp of white America’s curious sense of racial grievance. In the poll, 26 percent of whites say they have been victims of discrimination. Twenty-seven percent say too much has been made of the problems facing black people. Twenty-four percent say the country isn’t ready to elect a black president. Five percent of white voters acknowledge that they, personally, would not vote for a black candidate.
Every Leftard is saying that “the country isn’t ready to elect a black president”. I have not heard that from single reputable conservative.
Wow a whole 5% would never vote for a black candidate. So 95% would vote for a black candidate. At the least Jacob; Let’s just say that Obama needs a lot less than 95% of the “white” vote to win the election.
What Weisbery doesn’t mention is that since 1976 no Democratic candidate has won more than 38% of the white male vote (Obama is running at 34-37% depending on the poll). He also doesn’t mention that Colin Powell would have won white male voters and would have probably beat Bill Clinton in 1996.
Fact of the matter is that it’s the Democrat party should share some of the blame (ie. the white male vote not “intellectually” worth getting) for were Obama is today in the polls. However most of blame should fall squarely on Obama himself (as a candidate) and his policies.
