Lying Jackal Meet Slippery Slope

Oh…the hypocrisy of it all……

I don’t think the cops should doing it. If reporters were to do likewise, they’d be committing a criminal offence (cf. section 130 of the Code). Why should the reverse be okay?

I know that the high courts have ruled that the police are entitled to use deceit when chasing bad guys, and all that, but it still strikes me as a bad idea.
