How long can Al Gore Mini Me Stéphane Dion last as leader of the Federal Liberals?

And that the Liberal Green Shift was necessary to submit to demands of US Congress and an incoming President Obama for “clean” oil.

He actually said that, too. —– SDA

Given how often Harper makes decisions based upon what America wants, what’s your problem?

Just a few days ago, our Conservative government cited the need to keep good relations with the US as the reason to not to try to repatriate former child soldier Khadr from Gitmo. The Americans are now even openly re-writing the ‘evidence’ against Khadr.

It’s a trade reality: Whether carbon gets priced through a carbon tax, cap-and-trade or both (as will be the case under the Liberals), carbon is going to be included into the cost of doing business, and failing to account for it will lead to claims of “illegal subsidy!” by other countries.

It is far, far wiser, to reduce CO2 emissions now.

Thanks for your comment Mark.

I don’t have a problem. I just find it funny that the party of Trudeau is now using the US as an example as to why they have to move forward with policy.

It’s not the US you have to worry about being on board with the Canadian/European cap and trade or tax wealth re-distribution scheme. It’s Inda and China. Since they’ll never be on board you might as well lockup and shutdown all your co2 emitting facilities now. Like they’re already doing in Europe.

In the end cap and trade and tax will only be damaging to North American consumers or will not meet its stated goals or IMO probably do both.
